Tour groups are welcome at the museum!  Families, school groups, retirement home or care center residents, business organizations, etc., come each year.  To set up a date and time, simply call the office at 515.965.5795 or email history@ankenyhistorical.org.  (Replies may take a day or two, depending on staff availability.)  There is no charge or fee for tours, but a donation is always appreciated.

Tour groups can visit the museum house and/or the barn.  There are so many artifacts, donated by area residents, to see in both locations.  Groups usually self-tour, as all items are labeled; however, a tour guide can be arranged, if desired.  It can take anywhere from a half-hour to an hour or more to view it all.

If needed, a ramp is available into the first floor of the house, and an elevator in the barn can help folks to the second floor there.  Come for a visit and choose how much you want to do.
